Vice President Pence set to fundraise for ND GOP…after praising their top opponent

(BISMARCK, ND) – As North Dakota Republican Party-faithful welcome Vice President Pence to North Dakota, it’s important to remember who Pence championed the last time he was in town: None other than North Dakota’s favorite red-headed, blue-collar Senator, Heidi Heitkamp.

TODAY: Vice President Pence is set fundraise for North Dakota Republicans in Fargo.

THROWBACK: Vice President Pence last visited North Dakota in October. Back then, he praised Heidi as a “strong leader” with whom both he and President Trump enjoy a “great relationship.”

“You know Republicans are in a tough spot when their top endorser of the 2018 election praised their top opponent the last time he was in town,” said Scott McNeil, Executive Director of the North Dakota Dem-NPL. “That’s because Vice President Pence – and President Trump, who called Heidi a ‘good woman’ – both know that Heidi puts North Dakota over partisan politics every time. And that’s the kind of ‘strong leader’ no GOP rubber-stamp will ever be for our state.”
