Frederick Edwards to receive Hometown Hero award at Dem-NPL Dinner featuring keynote speaker Governor Walz
Fargo, ND – Local motivational speaker Frederick Edwards will receive the Hometown Hero Award at the 13th Annual Democratic-NPL Burdick Dinner. The dinner will feature keynote speaker, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Four & Four in Fargo.
Edwards is the founder of FredsDissonance and currently operates Umoja Writing Workshops, 16-week leadership programs in the F-M area. This 16-week workshop has created a sustainable pipeline to professions for youth instead of prisons. He is passionate about helping others find their inner greatness and potential. He has spoken to hundreds of college, high school, and middle school students. Edwards provides testimonies and stories of struggle and resiliency.
