Meet Stacy Heidenreich
Stacy brings a lifetime of North Dakota roots, professional experience, and community leadership to her campaign for the state legislature. A 1994 graduate of North Dakota State University with a degree in Mass Communications, she began her career at Gate City Bank shortly after graduation and has remained there ever since. Over the years, she has built strong management and leadership skills, earning the trust of colleagues and the community alike.
Beyond her professional work, Stacy is deeply committed to service. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the ND-MN Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and is a graduate of the Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo Chamber Leadership Program. These experiences reflect her dedication to strengthening local communities and supporting families across the region.
Stacy and her husband, John, have called Fargo home for more than 30 years, where they raised their three children. Her long-standing ties to the area, combined with her professional and volunteer leadership, shape her practical, people-focused approach to public service.
Legislative Priorities
I am running to bring a practical, moderate voice to the Capitol. My focus is on real solutions, protecting individual rights, and helping move North Dakota forward.
I believe in respecting personal freedoms, including the right to marry who you love, the ability for parents to guide their children’s education and reading choices, and keeping medical decisions between individuals and their doctors.
I am also committed to supporting vulnerable populations in our state. Mental health is a growing crisis that deserves serious attention, resources, and action.
Strong communities depend on opportunity. I want to make housing and childcare more attainable so people can build their lives here without overwhelming financial strain. The cost of daycare should not stand in the way of starting or growing a family.
These goals are grounded in common sense and shared values. Too often, today’s political climate makes it harder to find practical solutions. I believe in working across party lines, having respectful conversations, and bringing a steady, levelheaded approach to both our community and our Capitol.
District 41 Information
North Dakota’s District 41 is located in southwest Fargo and includes a mix of established neighborhoods and newer, fast-growing areas. The district is largely residential, with nearby access to schools, parks, and local businesses that serve a growing population of families and professionals.
As part of Fargo, District 41 reflects both the stability of longtime residents and the energy of new growth. This brings opportunities, along with challenges like housing, childcare, and infrastructure, that are important to the people who live and work in the district.
