North Dakota Republicans want to create a Spaghetti Slush Fund and pass the $424,000 bill onto taxpayers. In response to new ethics rules preventing lawmakers from taking fancy meals from lobbyists, Republican Representative Keith Kempenich is sponsoring House Bill 1424, which proposes North Dakota taxpayers pick up the tab instead. In the midst of a pandemic and children going hungry at school, North Dakota Republicans are prioritizing steak dinners over families and public health.
North Dakotans deserve lawmakers who work to serve North Dakota, not prioritize gifts from lobbyists. Help us elect real leadership in North Dakota and send Kempenich and his GOP colleagues packing. Donate here.
