Meet Dianne
Dianne Norris is a candidate for District 29 in the North Dakota House of Representatives. She lives in Cooperstown with her husband and was raised near a small farming community, where she experienced both rural and urban perspectives. Growing up, she learned the importance of community and the belief that everyone benefits when neighbors have the opportunity to succeed.
Dianne earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and began her career in manufacturing, working to develop practical, lasting solutions alongside customers. Her engineering background taught her the value of problem-solving, collaboration, and building systems that serve people effectively.
Throughout her life, Dianne has seen hardworking families struggle with rising costs and difficult choices between food, housing, and healthcare. Those experiences strengthened her commitment to public service and her belief that while individual effort matters, some challenges require collective action and thoughtful public policy.
