Democratic-NPL Bills
Rep. Gretchen Dobervich introduced HB 1433 which would create and fund a Dementia Response Program. She also introduced HB 1252 which seeks to provide Tribal Nations with the opportunity to utilize certain funds they already receive "for capital construction projects with no mandated percentage or time frame to honor tribal sovereignty and respect that the mechanics of the process of obtaining signed care coordination agreements and collecting and redistributing the funds did not fall within the prescribed window of time for capital construction to be realized."

What's coming up?
There are a number of election-related bills that we are keeping an eye on, some of which are coming up tomorrow:
The League of Women Voters' testimony outlines that Sen. Chuck Walen's (R-4) bill (SB 2178) would require voters to publicly request their party ballot of choice at the primary polls, would track voters’ political party selection and keep it on record, and decrease the timeframe a voter could request a primary election absentee ballot. It will be heard in the Senate State and Local Government Committee.

The North Dakota Democratic-NPL is launching a new grassroots program called “Neighbor to Neighbor” where volunteers will connect with voters in your community to elect Democrats up and down the ballot.
