Become a Delegate or Alternate

If you have already been credentialed by your district to be a delegate or alternate, you can register online if you haven't already!

If you have NOT been elected or appointed by your district, but are interested in becoming a delegate or alternate, let us know and we will connect you to your district leadership so they can assist you.

Convention Pages
|
Students from ages 13-18 can serve as pages! Convention pages assist district chairs, state party/convention officers, and event staff with any needs during the convention proceedings. This might include handing out or collecting ballots or forms, running errands for officers within the convention hall, assisting with event set up, and more.
|
|
Serving as a convention page is intended to be an opportunity for our young people to observe the political process up close, meet state and local community leaders, and hopefully to spark an interest in future political and civic involvement. Democratic National Convention

Become a National Delegate
|
Apply to be a delegate to the Democratic National Convention! The Convention will begin in Chicago on Monday, August 19, 2024 and conclude on Thursday, August 22, 2024.
|
North Dakota will send 19 delegates, and one of those delegates could be you!
|
8 delegates will be elected at the State Convention in Fargo on the morning of April 6th. Submit a completed application and a written nomination by 5 PM on Tuesday, April 2. Delegate candidates will speak on the State Convention stage for 1-2min.
|
|
Those 8 delegates will elect 5 pledged Party Leaders and Elected Official delegates, 1 At-Large Delegate, and 1 At-Large Alternate!
