Stop Book Bans!
Sen. Keith Boehm's bill (SB 2307) is about censorship full stop. Our librarians shouldn't have to worry about facing CRIMINAL CHARGES because one patron doesn't like a book. North Dakotans could also lose access to e-book/audiobook apps like Hoopla and Libby and our students could lose access to academic journals. It got a DO PASS recommendation from the House Judiciary Committee.

Letter Carriers to Protest Changes to USPS
The National Association of Letter Carriers is organizing protests across the nation to send a message about the support that the post office has.
|
“It would raise the cost of shipping for businesses and consumers, driving inflation even higher. We are vehemently against any sort of privatization or any efforts to remove the Postal Board of Governors, or the Postal Regulatory Commission, which gives independent authority and oversight of the Postal Service.”

Trump Is Sending Migrants to a ROBOCOP HELL Without DUE PROCESS
Tim Miller joins Nicolle Wallace on MSNBC's Deadline: White House to discuss the Trump administration's deportation of migrants without due process. He highlights the case of a gay Venezuelan asylum seeker who was allegedly sent to El Salvador’s brutal prison system simply for having tattoos. Here are all the ways people are disappearing from government websites
A page celebrating the military service of baseball legend Jackie Robinson, who integrated major league baseball, was also been taken down. The Air Force took down, among other pages, a 2019 profile of the 10 women who piloted one specific stealth bomber that carried out important missions. The archived profile shows that at that point, the 10 women made up about 2% of all the pilots who flew the aircraft.

After IVF nightmares, patients have few protections
Although cases like Murray’s are thought to be rare, an NBC News analysis of federal and state legal databases found more than 300 lawsuits filed from 2019 to 2024 alleging that embryos, eggs or sperm had been lost, destroyed or swapped. The suits were filed against fertility clinics or companies involved in the IVF process across 19 states, and the majority — at least 260 — involved allegations of product or equipment failures.
