Overall Description:

The 2018 North Dakota Coordinated Campaign (NDCC) is now accepting applications for Field Organizers. This position will work for on behalf of the Dem-NPL Senate, Congressional, statewide and legislative candidates. 

Field Organizers (FOs) are the face of the 2018 NDCC in communities across the state, work to educate about voter ID laws, motivate undecided voters to support our candidates, and increase turnout amongst low propensity voters. FOs will work with the Regional Field Director to craft and execute a plan to engage, organize, and mobilize voters in their assigned region.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, manage, and train volunteers in their communities and neighborhoods
  • Persuade and motivate voters
  • Developing a plan to organize their turf based on its unique characteristics
  • Identify and cultivate volunteer team leaders
  • Build relationships with community leaders
  • Ensure data integrity
  • FOs are also expected to work closely with legislative candidates to execute an effective field plan in targeted legislative districts throughout the state.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player
  • Attention to detail

Salary:

Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include fully paid health insurance.

Overall Description:

The 2018 North Dakota Coordinated Campaign (NDCC) is now accepting applications for Native Vote Organizers. This position will work for on behalf of the Dem-NPL Senate, Congressional, statewide and legislative candidates. 

Native Vote Organizers (NVOs) are the face of the 2018 NDCC in tribal communities across the state, work to educate Native Americans on voter ID laws, motivate Native American voters to support our candidates, and increase turnout in the Native American community. NVOs will work with the Coordinated Campaign Director to craft and execute a plan to engage, organize, and mobilize Native American voters.

Responsibilities:

The Native American Vote Organizers will:

  • Create and implement a plan to engage, organize, and mobilize Native American voters and ultimately ensure they vote in the 2018 election;
  • Develop and implement early voting programs;
  • Conduct basic voter contact;
  • Recruit, retain, and develop volunteer leaders;
  • Ensure data integrity in the Native American Vote program;
  • Execute and evaluate events;
  • Plan and crowd build for informational events for Native American voters.

Digital Intern

Overall Description:

The North Dakota Democratic-NPL is accepting applications for a digital intern for the 2018 election cycle. This position will run through election day 2018 and will be based in Fargo. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Responsibilities:

The digital intern position will assist the digital director, data director, and coordinated campaign director with day to day duties. This could include producing content for social media, database management, or assisting in digital voter contact strategies. The digital intern will also assist in developing and implementing inventive voter contact strategies and developing and implementing new digital content programs. The digital intern will report to the digital director and coordinated campaign director.

Requirements:

Experience

No specific experience is required, but applicants must demonstrate:

  • Commitment to electing Democrats up and down the ballot
  • The ability to learn new skills independently
  • An interest in graphic design and social media marketing practices

Skills 

No specific skills are required, but applicants with the following skills are preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, and other pieces of software in the Adobe suite
  • Working knowledge of Excel and the ability to manipulate large data sets
  • Experience managing social media presences for an organization

Time Commitment and Compensation:

This position will require between 10 and 15 hours per week and will be given a stipend. We will also work with any career centers to assist in college credit for this position.
